If I had to choose from looking more at fan art or more at original characters, I'd prefer your oc's.

If I had to choose between getting fanart or being inspirational enough for people to get motivated or invent their own characters, I'd choose the latter.

I'm not saying that fan art is bad, it is a tribute to a show/thing/character you like and a nice way to show it. I know that I am thrilled whenever someone draws my characters voluntarely,

But still, everyone has so unique imagination. I have one, you have one, depending on so many factors it's impossible to list them all. But it's unique. It's so full of ideas and things some people haven't even thought of. I'm saddened by the fact that people are just so afraid to let it out, or just want to stick drawing existing characters for fame or other reasons (btw, never draw anything for fame or I will kick you in the groin). I don't want to see billions of Altaïrs, Alex Mercers, MLP or whatever. I want to see the world you're thinking about, the characters you've thought.

Well, it's just my opinion and it has been bugging me for quite some time. Got it out of my systems now.

Sorry for comenting on an old journal but I want to give my words too. I am a hopless dreamer. Realy. I can dream even if I am at work but what I imagine I like to hide and keep for my self. Why? I am afraid someone could say this ideas of pictuers and stories are bullshit and/or just copied from a fandom or something else. If someone say your OC/Story/Picture reminds me of this and this or this is copied from something when it is not... I just do not want to get bullied for something I like. And a other reason is I lack the skills to make "good art". If I try to draw the worlds I have in my head I am getting easy depessed because it never looks like I wanted ... same goes for my writings... So I just hide them and doing "main stream art".
Sorry for my English and jumping in!
